These waste materials are shredded or ground into fibers, then combined with binding agents and other additives to form new sheets or rolls of leather.

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a voluntary international certification that verifies the recycled content in products and ensures that environmental and social criteria are met throughout the supply chain. It covers aspects such as material sourcing, production processes, and labor conditions, promoting transparency and traceability for products made from recycled materials. The GRS aims to enhance the sustainability of products by ensuring that they contain a significant amount of recycled content and adhere to rigorous environmental and social standards.
