LEATHER WORKING TOOLS - FRENCH EDGER SKIVING KNIFE
DESCRIPTION: French skiver featuring a rust resistant treatment and tempered blade. Comes with sharpening accessories (see pictures in gallery).
USE: The french skiver is used to reduce the thickness of specific sections of leather. T hinning down leather, or skiving, is essential for enhancing the flexibility and workability of the material, particularly in projects that require folding or layering.

BLADE SIZE: 7.0mm or 8.0mm
HOW TO SHARPEN: This tool is easily sharpened by rubbing the green compound onto the sandpaper and rubbing the underside of the blade along the sandpaper away from you, repeating many times (see picture in gallery).
