LEATHER STRAP CUTTER

USE: The wooden strap cutter is a valuable tool for cutting straight strips of thick and stiff leather, commonly used in belt and strap making.

DESCRIPTION: The tool is adjustable to cut strips up to 10cm wide and includes one blade pre-fitted with the tool. Additional packs of blades are available for purchase separately HERE.

Instructions for Use:

1. 1. Place the leather flat on a sturdy surface.
   2. Create a straight cut on the leather to serve as a guide.
   3. Set the bars to the thickness of your leather using the smaller thumbscrew making sure the 2 bars are parallel to keep the blade at 90 degrees.
   4. Set the desired strap width using the large thumbscrew to unscrew the bars and slide to the desired measurement.
   5. Hold the strap cutter firmly with one hand, positioning the blade perpendicular to the edge of the leather where you intend to start cutting. 
   6. Apply gentle pressure on the strap cutter, allowing the blade to penetrate the leather. Proceed to move the cutter along the edge of the leather, maintaining even pressure throughout.
