LEATHERCRAFTING TOOLS - WOODEN SLICKER / BURNISHER
USE: A wooden slicker or burnisher is a must-have for leatherworkers. It is used to burnish the edges of vegetable-tanned leather, in combination with a burnishing agent. The friction and heat developed through rubbing seal the fibers, preventing fraying and resulting in a polished, professional finish. For best results, it is recommended to bevel and sand the edges before burnishing.
